That is what a woman want.
Haha. Sorry to write in English. I just read an article about female sexual desire from New York Times. And when I read the following lines, 七窍玲珑缺一门 instantly popped into my head. I was overcoming by my impulse to write something, and because I couldn't type Chinese now, I have to try my best to mumble my thinking out in Enlgish.
The lines are:
What women want is a real dilemma, a caveman and caring.
In a woman's deepest desire, all she wants are "to be wanted". A woman can be inflamed by the idea that , there is a certain man who wants her so much, to an extent that "he cannot contain himself; he transgresses societal codes in order to seize her", and then she is electrified by her own total surrender and helplessness. I believe that is the reason why 意柯 is so popular here.:) He fulfills this erotic fantasy every woman hold in her deepest and darkest dream.
Yet due to evolutionary or cultural benefit, we women also learn to set up higher standard for relationship. We want a relationship, in which we feel being protected and cared. We need a man who has the most kind soul and holds us in the most tender spot of his heart. That is when we need "元织" as a dearest lover.
玲珑, like us, is trapped in this dilemma. We want both, and can't choose one at the expense of another. We want passion, want to be desired and wanted, want to be burned to ashes by the most ferocious love that can be given by a man, and to be ravished.
Yet, but, still, we want a most caring love, we want to be able to smile, to breathe, not only to be cared but also caring. We dream a person who will indulge us, not "eat" us, to enjoy the life not only love to a full extent.
So we need both of them "意柯" and "元织", a caveman and caring.:)
