　　所谓只有纯血统才能够使用榆木魔杖施展魔法的无稽之谈，毫无疑问在一开始是从一些榆木魔杖的拥有者口中说出的，他们希望以此来证明自己的血统。与榆木魔杖极度契合的麻瓜出身者同样存在。事实上，榆木魔杖喜欢有风度、魔法天赋还有与生俱来的高贵的主人。
　　以我的经验，在所有的魔杖木材中，榆木制成的魔杖出现的事故、犯的愚蠢错误最少，在施展魔咒和符咒时也最为优雅。这些精良的魔杖有能力在正确的人的手里施展非常高级的魔法，因此这也使得这种魔杖在那些拥护纯血统理念的人之间相当抢手。
