我去查了HP3，其中两次用“handsome”形容小天狼星：
如果他不知道那就是同一个人的话，他永远也不会猜到这张老照片上的人就是布莱克，他的脸庞并不凹陷蜡黄，却是英俊的、笑嘻嘻的。拍这张照片的时候他就已经在为伏地魔效劳了吗？他是不是已经在计划着杀死身边的两个人了？他知道他要面对阿兹卡班的十二年，面对这会让他变得叫人认不出来的十二年吗？但是那些摄魂怪没有对他产生影响，哈利想道，一面瞪眼看着那张英俊的笑脸。
If he hadn\'t known it was the same person, he would never have guessed it was Black in this old photograph. His face wasn\'t sunken and waxy, but handsome, full of laughter. Had he already been working for Voldemort when this picture had been taken? Was he already planning the deaths of the two people next to him? “把那玩意儿收起来吧，行吗?”在詹姆做了个漂亮的抓捕动作，虫尾巴发出了一声喝彩后，小天狼星终于开口说，“不然虫尾巴要激动得尿裤子了。”虫尾巴微微有点脸红，可詹姆却咧开嘴笑了。“打扰你了。”他说着把飞贼塞回了衣袋。哈利明显地感觉到，詹姆只有在小天狼星面前才会停止炫耀。“我觉得真无聊，”小天狼星说，“今天要是满月就好了。”　“你可以，”卢平在书本后面阴沉地说，“我们还要考变形学，要是你觉得无聊，你可以考考我。给你??”他把自己的那本书递了过去。可是小天狼星用鼻子哼了一声。“我用不着看这些垃圾，我全都知道。”
Lupin had pulled out a book and was reading. Sirius stared around at the students milling over the grass, looking rather haughty and bored, but very handsomely so. James was still playing with the Snitch, letting it zoom further and further away, almost escaping but always grabbed at the last second. Wormtail was watching him with his mouth open. Every time James made a particularly difficult catch, Wormtail gasped and applauded. After five minutes of this, Harry wondered why James didn\'t tell Wormtail to get a grip on himself, but James seemed to be enjoying the attention. Harry noticed that his father had a habit of rumpling up his hair as though to keep it from getting Loo tidy, and he also kept looking over at the girls by the waters edge.
\'Put that away, will you,\' said Sirius finally, as James made a fine catch and Wormtail let out a cheer, \'before Wormtail wets himself with excitement.\'
Wormtail turned slightly pink, but James grinned.
\'If it bothers you,\' he said, stuffing the Snitch back in his pocket. Harry had the distinct impression that Sirius was the only one for whom James would have stopped showing off.
\'I\'m bored,\' said Sirius. \'Wish it was full moon.\'
\'You might,\' said Lupin darkly from behind his book. We\'ve still got Transfiguration, if you\'re bored you could test me. Here . . .\' and he held out his book.
But Sirius snorted. \'I don\'t need to look at that rubbish, I know it all.\'
原文第二次用“handsome”形容小天狼星：
哈利看到，他的教父倒下去时，那张消瘦的、一度十分英俊的脸上既恐惧又诧异，他倒进了古老的拱门里，消失在帷幔后面。那帷幔飘动了一会儿，就像刚才吹过了一阵狂风，然后又恢复了以前的样子。
Harry saw the look of mingled fear and surprise on his godfathers wasted, once-handsome face as he fell through the ancient doorway and disappeared behind the veil, which fluttered for a moment as though in a high wind, then fell back into place.
HP5还有一次，译文是“非常英俊”，原文是“very good-looking”：
又是一阵兴奋冲击着哈利，他看到小天狼星向詹姆翘起了大拇指。小天狼星懒洋洋地靠在椅子上，显得很自在，他的身体向后仰着，只用椅子的两条腿着地。他非常英俊，黑色的头发垂在眼前，不经意地带出几分典雅，不管是詹姆的头发还是哈利的头发，可从来都没有这份典雅。一个坐在小天狼星身后的女生正满怀期待地注视着他，可他好像没有注意到。
With another shock of excitement, Harry saw Sirius give James the thumbs-up. Sirius was lounging in his chair at his ease, tilting it back on two legs. He was very good-looking; his dark hair fell into his eyes with a sort of casual elegance neither James\'s nor Harry\'s could ever have achieved, and a girl sitting behind him was eyeing him hopefully, though he didn\'t seem to have noticed.
在HP4中，塞德里克两次被称为“handsome”，还有一次“extremely handsome”、一次“Exceptionally handsome”。看来罗琳对塞德里克的形容的确在程度上更高一点儿。
最后吐槽一下，罗琳笔下的帅哥全都没有好下场，不是早死，就是坐牢＋尸骨无存，要不然就是毁容，这是怎样的报社心理……
