22、Jayden Elster

　　从中午开始，外面就一直雷霆暴雨。东方余悠跟她的辅导老师请了假，自己在宿舍学习。

　　门突然开了，Lily从外面狼狈地冲进来，手里拿着一只球拍。

　　东方余悠：“Where have you been? It's raining cats and dogs!（你去哪儿了？外面雨下得跟下刀子似的！）”

　　Lily噗嗤一声笑了：“Raining cats and dogs? Who taught you that?（下刀子？谁教你的？）”

　　东方余悠：“I just think it's interesting, don't you?（我觉得挺有意思的，你不觉得吗？）”

　　Lily：“Kind of,（有一点儿吧）” 说着，Lily把手里的球拍递给她，“You play tennis?（你打网球？）”

　　东方余悠一脸疑惑：“No? Why?（不啊？为什么？）”

　　Lily：“Well, Jayden asked me to give this to you.（Jayden让我把它给你。）”

　　东方余悠半信半疑地接过球拍，拿在手里仔细地看了看。

　　Lily：“I don't think it's a bad thing.（我不觉得是件坏事。）”

　　东方余悠：“what？（什么？）”

　　Lily ：“Playing tennis. We know you are going through some hardship. It's not easy, you are here by yourself, all alone. Sports can help.（打网球。我们知道你很难。这不容易，你自己一个人在这儿。运动可以帮到你。）”

　　东方余悠：“Yeah...（嗯...）” 她摆弄着手里的球拍，思绪还没有从中走出来。

　　Lily：“He said he's gonna be at East Meadow Court this Saturday.（Jayden说他周六会在East Meadow球场。）”

　　东方余悠抬起头看着Lily，不知道该说什么。她还没做好决定。她很想去，但却在犹豫。

　　Lily：“You know you better take a good advantage of him, he's good. He was world junior number 1 or something at some point. （你知道你最好好好占占他便宜，他还挺厉害的。他好像之前是青少年世界第一还是什么的。）”

　　东方余悠不敢相信自己听到的：“Are you serious?（真的假的？）”

　　这跟现实版“网球王子”有什么区别？！

　　Lily：“No kidding. Don't know why he didn't enter pro tho. What a shame! （当然了。不知道他为什么最后没转职业。太遗憾了！）”

　　东方余悠：“Oh My God...（我的天啊...）”

　　她赶紧打开电脑，在搜索框打下“Jayden”, 但是她突然意识到她还不知道他的姓氏。

　　东方余悠：“What's his last name?（他姓什么？）”

　　Lily：“Elster. Jayden Elster.”

　　东方余悠把名字输入进搜索框，回车。

　　第一条检索出的标题：“Tennis Phenom Jayden Elster, Tipped to Be Youngest Grand Slam Champion, Shocks Fans by Declining Pro Career（被誉为最有望成为最年轻大满贯得主的网球新星Jayden Elster，意外宣布不转为职业选手，引发热议）”

　　Lily也俯下身把脸凑向屏幕。

　　Lily：“Click in.（点进去。）”

　　东方余悠照做了。

　　全文并没有给出任何他拒绝转职业的理由。只是说和家人有关，家庭发生了一些变故。

　　东方余悠：“Family incidents. Sounds like my story.（家庭变故。听起来怎么跟我的故事差不多。）”

　　Lily：“That's weird. What kind of incident? His parents are fine, I've met both of them.（好奇怪。什么变故？他父母好好的，我还见过他们。）” 她接着说：“I knew he was good, but I didn't know he was THIS GOOD. I can't believe he's ever been on the news. I want to take a lesson from him.（我知道他很厉害，但是我不知道这么厉害。我不敢相信他还上过新闻。我都想跟他学了！）”

　　东方余悠：“You wanna go together this Saturday?（那周六要一起吗？）”她试探性地问。

　　Lily：“I can't, I’ve got a date.（我没办法，我有约了。）”她的脸上尽显遗憾，不知道是故意做出来的还是真的如此。

　　无论如何，东方余悠听到后松了一口气。
