4、1.4 远方来电

　　手提电话的振铃突然响起，把开文从幻想中惊醒。他扭头看见放在桌子边上的手提电话，拿起，打开说道：“Who’s that (谁啊？)”
　　“Kevin (开文？)”说话的是他的朋友戴维。
　　“Yeah. David (对。戴维？)”
　　“Yeah. Are you okay, buddy (对。你还好吧，伙计？)”
　　开文看了一眼计算机屏幕上的时钟，说道：“I don’t know. What the heck are you calling me for at 4:30 in the morning (好什么好？凌晨四点半打电话，你搞什么名堂？)”
　　“4:30 in the morning (凌晨四点半？)”戴维似乎有些吃惊，“Oh, sorry, Kevin. I forgot the time difference between China and Vancouver. (哦，抱歉，开文，我忘了中国和温哥华的时间差了。)”
　　“Time difference China Where the heck are you now, David (时间差？中国？你现在到底在哪儿，戴维？)”
　　“I’m calling you from Dali, China. (我从中国大理给你打的电话。)”
　　“Where of China Da…(中国的什么？大……)”开文没记住戴维说的中国的城市名。
　　“Dali, a small town in southwest China. A fascinating cultural town of tea. (大理，中国西南的一座小城，一座充满魅力的文化茶城。)”
　　听了这话，杨丽莲在“像簿”上发布的信息又闪入开文的头脑：
　　“Dali San Dao Cha – Local Splendorous Tea Culture Event, Dali, China.”(大理三道茶——中国大理最辉煌的茶文化节庆。)
　　“10:00 a.m., June 5. Everybody is invited.”(时间：六月五日早上10点。任何人都欢迎。)
　　开文问道：“David, do you know the local Tea Event (戴维，你知道那里的茶会吗？)”
　　“Tea Event What Tea Event (茶会？什么茶会？)”戴维反问道。
　　“And do you happen to know a girl named Yang Lilian (你是否认识一个女孩，她叫杨丽莲？)”
　　“A girl Yeah, I know a lot of local girls here. (女孩？对，我认识这里很多的女孩。)”
　　“What the heck are you talking about What are you doing there (你在说些什么呀？你在那里干吗？)”
　　“Kevin, that is what I’m gonna tell you: I’ve just opened a café here … (开文，这正是我要告诉你的：我刚在这开了一家咖啡馆……)”
　　“And so what (那又怎么样？)”
　　“Don’t talk to me like that, Kevin. I’m inviting you to Dali to have a look around the small cozy town. If you like it, you can stay here and help me…(别那么跟我说话，开文。我在邀请你到大理来，看看这个温馨的小城。如果你喜欢，你可以留下来帮我……)”
